SHE was famously arrested for failing to pay for $5,500-worth of designer clothes from Saks Fifth Avenue in 2001 - now Winona Ryder is at the centre of a new fashion-related controversy after reportedly "losing" $125,000-worth of borrowed Bulgari jewellery.According to a report in French magazine Voici the actress claims she handed the diamonds, which she had borrowed to wear to an awards ceremony in Spain last week, to her hotel's front desk in an envelope to be kept in the venue's safe. But they have since gone astray and, with hotel bosses unable to locate surveillance footage to corroborate the story, Bulgari executives have asked police to investigate.
Both Bulgari and the Ryder camp are yet to comment publicly on the claims.
